World Environment Day Celebration

With a view to sensitise the students about the awareness and protection of the "Environment" to save our magnificent planet, a special day was organised by "Vasishta School of Excellence" on 09/06/2023 (Friday).

Colouring competition was conducted for pre-primary children (Nursery - UKG). Little ones who have always fantasized about colours, brought in their colourful imagination with zeal and showed their talent. It helped them in exploring new ideas, creativity as well as a sense of colours.

A plethora of activities were conducted for primary students as well to spread the message in an engaging manner where in the students planted saplings, students of class I and II enjoyed colouring on theme 'Nature', students of class III and IV participated in painting competition on theme 'Save Mother Earth' Students of class V and VI participated in 'Making best out of the waste competition', where in students created useful articles out of the waste material thereby learning to utilize the available resources to the fullest. In an endeavour to encourage the young minds, a poster making activity was taken up for the students of class VII and VIII to hone their creative skills. The day concluded on a positive note. Also, the message the students wanted to give is to keep our environment healthy.

Founders Day Celebration

Founders Day and Guru Purnima are the significant occasions that were celebrated in school on 4th July. Gracious presence of and Sri Balayogi Manjunatha Maharaja Srigalu (Guruji) and Mr. Shivakumar A R. added immense value to the occasion, making it a memorable and successful event.

The function began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries followed by a warm welcome with various cultural activities and events that brought the school community together.

There was a lot of excitement among the students who were a part of this extravagant event as it was also the birthday of our beloved Chairman

Mr. M. Nagaraj and marked the day in a grandeur way as the school arranged a ‘magic show for all the students of VSE and JSVM. The students burst out into loud cheers after each item. Students and staffs had prepared attractive and stupendous greeting cards and gifts which they offered to the Chairman on the occasion. The event was given momentum by the special presence of Chairman Sir’s family members and close friends. A special lunch was organised by the management for the students and staff.

Independence Day Celebration

It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15, 1947. Vasishta School of Excellence celebrated Independence day with pomp and show. Captain Vaishali Tergundi (Retd Army officer) was the Chief Guest for the program. The Chief Guest was escorted by the school band. She hoisted the national flag in the presence of Chairman Sir, M. Nagaraj, Principal, Mrs. Thanuja Sunder, teachers, parents and students. Everyone saluted the flag and sang the national anthem . Then followed the cultural programs. Patriotic song was recited by the students of Grade 1 and Grade 2. Students from Grade 3 to Grade 8 participated in distinct events like mass drill hoops exercise, pom aerobics, dumbbells exercise, lezim exercise, and pyramid formation. To instil a sense of patriotism and historical awareness in our students a skit on historical events were performed followed by a dance performance which signified “Unity in diversity”.

The Chief Guest told the students about the supreme sacrifice of the great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. She also inspired our students to choose Army as their career in future which will not only serve as a rewarding service towards the society but also help our students to acquire intangible qualities like leadership, discipline, and determination.

The Chairman, Mr. M. Nagaraj addressed the students by telling them the great significance of the day. In his speech, he mentioned that it marks the day when a country gained independence from foreign domination and also a time to reflect on the principles that our nation stands for – equality, democracy, justice, and diversity. He extended his gratitude to our dedicated teachers who shape the future of our nation, and to our students who are the torchbearers of tomorrow.

At last, sweets were distributed among all.
