The Playgroup program is holistic, child-centric and an age-appropriate curriculum that focuses on developing children's communication and language skills, creative expressions, physical abilities and well-being, personal, emotional, and social development. Pre - Nursery focuses on communication and language skills developing multiple intelligence (Logic, Word, Nature, People, and Picture). Sensorial, ideas of exploration and investigating the world around them forming relationships and connecting with the environment are included in the curriculum.
The Nursery program takes on a cognitive, constructive and skill developing approach and thus our curriculum emphasizes on active child-centered learning experiences. The programme reinforces upon children’s increasing competencies in language as a tool for learning and communication. Reading, phonetics, and numeracy skills are introduced to promote the child’s emergent capacity of acquiring skills. Expectations for personal and social development continue to be prioritized, resulting in an even greater autonomy and independence, enhanced self-help skills, self-concept, and confidence.
The Junior KG curriculum actively promotes purposeful vocabulary, reading and writing experiences through integrated learning experiences and projects. Children gain a better understanding of numeracy and mathematical concepts. Exposure to technology, awareness of environment and community, and physical skills are more enhanced and sophisticated in this stage of learning. Cognitive development, acquisition of skills and concepts are actively promoted. Higher understanding of numeracy and mathematical concepts, enhanced awareness of environment, community, and physical skills are embedded in our curriculum. Personal and social development continues to be emphasised upon.
The Senior KG curriculum focuses more on communication, reading and writing, and use these skills as a means to present ideas and knowledge as a tool for learning content, concepts, and skills. Children are trained to become independent, confident, articulate, and creative thinkers who are appreciative of the world – and equipped with the life skills and attitudes that are prerequisites for school readiness and life success. Concepts are taught through problem solving, inquiry, investigations, and research which makes a child well equipped for the competitive world. Personal, Emotional, and social development of the child is given utmost importance. With an increased social and emotional maturity, children continue to work collaboratively in projects, engaging in critical thinking and exploration.

Embracing Robotics and coding in Education!!
Coding is essentially written instructions that a robot or computer program can read and then execute. Students must determine the task they want to complete through a robot, design the code to make it happen, and then send it to the robot to view the outcome. Robotics allows students to see their thinking in a real way as they go through trial and error until the task is accomplished and the robot's motions are performed as originally intended.Perseverance through struggle, problem-solving, a sense of agency, and collaboration (when working in pairs) are all encouraged, fostered, and achieved through such projects.
Vasishta students have begun their coding exposure by laying a foundation for understanding that failure and frustration are a part of the creativity and exploration process.

A digital smart classroom provides enhanced teaching and learning experience. At Vasishta, we try to make lessons come alive through smart classes, providing audio-visual exposure to the students. The smart board in each classroom enhances a student's learning experience by allowing them to see diagrams, charts, videos, and maps on a large screen in front of them in real-time. This makes learning more exciting and easier to understand. Learning through visuals helps the students to learn and memorize the topic for a prolonged period of time. It boosts the confidence of the students and encourages them to think beyond their imagination.
Assessments are designed to ensure continuous engagement of the students with the concepts and content in a real-world context. The feedback from teachers and student reflections pave a path for improvement in not only performance but also the teaching learning practices.
The fear of speaking wrong English and causing embarrassment inhibits students from speaking at all. Vasishta inculcates English lab providing the solution to this problem and teaches students in a sequential manner so that it improves their skills faster and accurately. With English Language labs, all students in the class can speak and practice simultaneously without distracting each other regardless of the class size. Language lab gives an opportunity to work on individual needs, which is difficult to be achieved in a classroom setting. The school’s computer lab is integrated as a language laboratory. Inclusion of LSRW will make learning English more interactive and fun for the students. Content will be available as pictures, sound, texts and video where the teachers adjust materials to fit the necessity of the students. The teachers will have the authority to track the performance of each student time-to-time.
